InterCon Fiji, Sheraton Fiji win laurels at the HM Awards 2023

The 21^st HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence were held at the Star Event Centre in Sydney recently. The awards show, which was spread over 52 categories, saw Marriott International win big, swooping across 11 categories including Hotel Brand of the Year for W Hotels, as well as best New Hotel and Luxury Hotel for The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne.

The South Pacific and New Zealand sections also saw significant action. The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort shared the podium for #1 Fijian Property, while the Castaway Island and Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa got honourable mentions for this year.

For the #1 South Pacific property, the winner was none other than InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa. Along with being one of the most well-known names, this resort would probably be one of the most aspirational holiday resorts for travellers the world over. Honourable mentions in this category went to the Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Vila, Vanuatu and the Stanley Hotel in Papua New Guinea.
