The Club Raro Resort, one of Cook Islands’ best-known resorts, has reopened after a two-month ‘spa session’ – and it’s looking radiant! Opened back in the 70s, Club Raro sports a brand-new look and feel, but that’s not all. It’s now adults-only and we can’t wait to show you how great it looks.

Repeat visitors to the resort will be wowed by the refurbished public areas and pathways. What’s more, the resort’s in-house restaurant Jalapenos, the bar, the resort’s reception and the lobby – all have received the magic touch.

Club Raro Upgrade: Renovations, & a Hip Retro Style

As guests enter the resort, the line of sight now goes straight through the lobby to the resort’s silky golden sand beach and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Additionally, the lobby is now refreshed and sports relaxing water features. Repeat visitors would recall the lobby pond, which is now a part of the extended lobby. As an homage to the resort’s popularity and its age, the lobby offers a fresh retro feel and ambience. Plus, the Club Bar is now set in the lobby for soirees which go into the night

More importantly, the wall separating the lobby and the Jalapenos Restaurant has been knocked down and replaced with large bifold doors! The restaurant gets an expansive wooden deck and new indoor/outdoor space under the shade of the beach’s coconut trees. Head over for Club Raro sumptuous tropical breakfast and all-day dining! The pathways lining the restaurant and pool have been completely renewed and widened.

A New Pool and A Pool Bar to Boot!

The pool has been refreshed and there are more sun-loungers to accommodate holidaymakers. The swim-up pool bar also sees a redo, and there’s more space to sit there and make new friends. The resort has now a new Sand bar overlooking the coral beach and the ocean. The standard and pool-view room patios are now bigger and wider, too. The Club Bar is open all day from 11am until late, serving up the latest in gin cocktails and tropical island cocktail favourites. Before you can ask, the Happy Hours are 11am- midday and 4-6pm, daily.

And the biggest news of all? Club Raro is now Rarotonga’s latest adults only resort for ages 18 years and over.

Club Raro’s Got a Brand New Bag – and We Love It!

Did you know that this resort was originally called Trailways when it was inaugurated back in 1972? It was in 1994, when it was rechristened as Club Raro. Also, this is the Edgewater Resort’s sister property to boot. Located a bare five minutes from Avarua, this three-star resort offers comfortable, modern accommodations appealing to almost all international travellers. Check out our Club Raro Resort page, where you can see more pictures of the accommodations, all the resort’s amenities and more. You can also make your own holiday package there!
