There are travellers and then there are travellers. For example, some would want to properly explore a place while on a holiday. Then there are some who want to binge on peace and quiet, away from the mad hustle of big-city life. Some would want to stay at a central location from where to launch their adventures from, while others would prefer a spot of modern nightlife mixed with rustic beauty. It takes all kinds to make up our world, yeah?

The Ramada Wailoaloa Beach Fiji is comfortably ensconced between all the above requirements. It’s apartment-style accommodations make for great sally-points to explore the Fijian mainland and its islands, it’s modern, can host up to six adults with ease and offers all creature comforts modern travellers are accustomed to. And it has great views, too.

How far is the Ramada Suites Fiji from the airport?

Not far at all. The hotel is set overlooking the ocean next to Wailoaloa Beach (hence the name) and is barely 15 minutes away from the Nadi International Airport. In fact, guests can fully expect to land, collect luggage, get acquainted with a friendly Fijian meet-and-greet, jump into a cab transfer, check in, dump bags in the room and be draining a stubby at the rooftop bar in under 40 minutes flat. No kidding!

There’s so much to do, but this works as well

Fiji’s capital Suva is three hours away by a car and if you want to know what you can do there, read our blog on all the thing to do in Suva! Ziplining aficionados, that’s the place you want to hit up. The sleepy town of Lautoka is just half an hour away, same for the incredibly beautiful Garden of the Sleeping Giant. While crunching the above, we recommend you also check out a river-rafting cruise and visit a typical Fijian village. Do attend a kava ceremony – it’s a blast knowing how to chill out, island-style!

Nadi itself is a wonderful potpourri of modernity and history. Over the centuries, it has become a melting pot of Fijian, Indian, Chinese, European and Asian culture; you can see it in the architecture, the fabulous mishmash of cuisines and the street-markets. Just put on your best walking shoes and stay hydrated, that’s all.
