South Sea Cats Launches New Mana Island Stop & ‘Ride and Slide’ From July 1

The South Sea Cats is set to make Fiji inter-island island journeys even more exciting. The South Sea Cats vessels, cruising daily between Port Denarau and the Mamanuca Islands, now feature two standout updates: a fresh stop at Mana Island Resort on Route 10 and the introduction of ‘Ride and Slide’ snorkelling trips for the ultimate fun on the water. 

Extension to Route 10: Now Stopping at Mana Island Resort

Starting July 1, South Sea Cats will add Mana Island Resort as a new stop on its popular Route 10. This means travellers can now disembark at Mana Island Resort between 7:30 and 7:45 pm, making it easier than ever to reach one of the Mamanuca Islands’ most iconic stays. With this addition, South Sea Cat now connects a total of eight resorts across the Mamanucas.

The Route 10 service runs in the early evening, offering a relaxed journey aboard the spacious catamaran. The vessel accommodates up to 36 guests and glides across the water at a comfortable 22 knots, ensuring both speed and stability for a seamless transfer experience.

For those seeking more than just a transfer, South Sea Cats introduces the all-new Ride and Slide experiences—available in both AM and PM formats, beginning July 1.

Kickstart your morning with a 2.5-hour snorkelling adventure in the crystal-clear waters of the Mamanuca reefs. Guests board a custom-designed, purpose-built high-speed South Sea Cats catamaran for a fast, comfortable ride to pristine snorkelling spots. All snorkelling gear is provided on board, and the fun starts as soon as you arrive. Choose to enter the water via the easy-access ladder or take the plunge down the giant inflatable slide from the catamaran’s roof.

Pro tip: For maximum enjoyment, wear your swimwear before boarding as changing space is limited, and bring a towel, hat, and reef-safe sunscreen.

Ride and Slide PM

Prefer to explore in the afternoon? The Ride and Slide PM trip sets off after lunch for a 4.5-hour adventure to the Malolo Island group. Enjoy extended time in the water, slide straight off the boat’s rooftop, and discover vibrant coral colonies at a leisurely pace.
