Listen to Qantas Unveils Major Lounge Upgrades Across for Premium Flying Experience

If there’s one thing Qantas is known for – besides its world-class service – it would be it’s lounges. And now, they’re getting even better! Recently crowned with Best Lounges in the World award by AirlineRatings, Qantas is rolling out major upgrades across its network. Whether you’re flying out of Auckland, Adelaide, Sydney or a regional hub – get ready to see more space, fresh designs, and upgraded amenities.

A Brand-New Auckland Lounge Experience

Big news for travellers flying through Auckland! Starting 23 April 2025, Qantas is breaking ground on a brand-new lounge designed to offer more seating and showcase New Zealand’s best food and wine. The current lounge will be closed while the new construction is underway; but the airline will provide alternative arrangements for eligible passengers.

A New Look for Sydney’s International Business Lounge

Sydney’s International Business Lounge is also set for a major revamp, with plans for more seating and an upgraded food and beverage selection. While details are still under wraps, expect a fresh, premium experience soon.

Australia’s Regional Lounges Get a Refresh: Fresh Upgrades at Adelaide’s Lounge Precinct

Adelaide is getting a lounge makeover, too. The Qantas Club has already reopened, and the domestic business lounge will be ready by May. Inspired by South Australia’s landscapes and local flavours, the redesign brings a new level of comfort to travellers passing through.

Good news for regional travellers – Qantas is upgrading seven regional lounges in Karratha, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Mackay, Emerald, Gladstone, and Rockhampton. Expect improved seating, better technology, and modern furnishings, with work kicking off soon. Meanwhile, Broome’s Regional Lounge has already been redesigned, doubling its capacity and taking inspiration from the Kimberley region’s stunning colours. And if you’re flying from Hobart, take note – from April, the lounge will temporarily relocate near Gate 5 due to terminal redevelopment. Though, you’ll still find a cozy spot to relax next to the current Qantas Club.
