Edgewater Cook Islands Completes 50 Years, To Complete Room Refurb Soon!

The Edgewater Resort and Spa just announced a host of updates and upgrades to better guest experience this year. The resort completed a major milestone of completing 50 years of operations last year (way to go, Edgewater!) and celebrated the event with a full week of festivities, snazzy new uniforms, a new wellness programme and honouring its staff. We heard some of them completed over 44 years of service and we’re just blown away.

The Edgewater Resort, Cook Islands announced that 45 of its Mitiaro Garden View Rooms in block 900 are currently undergoing closed for renovation. These units will have completely refurbished interiors, ensuite bathrooms and balconies, along with upgraded amenities for holidaymakers. 

The administration assures of keeping noise to a minimum to avoid jarring interruptions to guests. The interiors have already been upgraded; the balconies and the roof are seeing the majority of the work.  According to the management, the refurbishment is expected to be completed by mid-April, 2025.

Also, there is now an ATM in the reception, reducing the need to head into town just for 💵. 

Every Wednesday is Market Day at Edgewater Resort, Cook Islands

The Edgewater Resort & Spa has now begun stocking up on traditional healing recipes and products, hand-painted sarongs or ‘pareus’, and even Manihiki black pearls. Guests can meet the pearl farm representatives, learn about the history and complexities behind growing these incredible jet-black pearls. In other news, the resort staff at the Edgewater recently participated in the biannual Cook Island Games, where they faced off in a friendly competition with the locals in athletics, beach volleyball, tennis, triathlon, and other disciplines.
