Air Tahiti Nui Launches Brand-New Eco-Friendly Activity Kit For Kids

Air Tahiti Nui has introduced a new on-board children’s activity kit that’s designed to entertain, educate, and promote environmental awareness. The kit is designed in partnership with Formia, well-known for designing travel accessories. The set is made using sustainable materials, plant-based inks and curbs single-use plastic. 

The activity kit contains the following items: a reusable drawstring bag that families can reuse, a fun activity booklet with educational activities and colouring pages, a box of colour pencils and board games. The pack introduces curious minds to Polynesian mascots like Fetia the Sea Turtle, Ta’aroa the Coconut Crab, Maimiti the Manta Ray, Hiroiti the Lory, and Manea the shark. With this fun, thoughtful addition, the airline hopes to ignite passion for environment protection and conservation in tomorrow’s travellers. 

Air Tahiti Nui also points out that all paper items and pencils in this bundle are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, ensuring materials sourced are ethically produced and responsibly managed. This, it claims, helps meet its annual CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) goals. 

This new activity kit is already offered to all young fliers (from three to seven years) onboard Air Tahiti Nui’s Tahitian Dreamliners. The airline affirms that the addition of this kit rounds up the entertainment options offered on board, like downloadable children magazines, movies, TV series, video games and music. Air Tahiti also points out that in the near future, kids will be offered new audio headsets for better media consumption. These, the airline adds, will be collected, washed and reconditioned after each flight. New parents will be happy to learn that Air Tahiti offers helpful comfort kits for infants, with necessary items for changing (changing mat, wipes, lotion and diapers) as well as a whale comforter.
