Each of the bungalows and suites come with stained wooden flooring, spacious bathrooms with double vanities and patios to appreciate Samoa’s burnished evenings with a chilled cocktail in hand.
The resort’s restaurant has two permanent chefs on duty to keep the taste buds experimenting with a variety of cuisines and cocktails. For romance, a dinner under the stars is indescribable.
There are scores of activities and experiences to while away the days on the island, and the resort does travellers justice in this area. The best and the most unique of them all would of course be visiting the To Sua Ocean Trench, which is just five minutes by car from the resort. This rock crevasse is filled with clear ocean water, surrounded by the island’s natural greenery. It doesn’t sound much, but the experience of walking in the undergrowth and coming across a huge pool of limpid blue water protected by volcanic rock is awe-inspiring to say the least.
Then, there is the Togitogiga waterfall to splash around in when swimming and snorkelling in the coral reefs feels tame! The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is always worth a visit and travellers can pump up the excitement factor by visiting the Papase’ea Sliding Rocks later in the day. The Saletoga Sands Resort’s pool is perfect for kids to play about in all day too.
