The Family Bungalows are set within a duplex construction. Each Family Bungalow has its own master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and another bedroom with three single beds, all with mosquito netting. Common amenities include ensuite bathroom with hot water, living space with sitting furniture, and two verandas – one shared – with outdoor sitting furniture. The bungalows lead out to the beach, and great views of the waters.

Beach House

The Beach House comes with access to its own private beach and superb views of both Kennedy Island and the beautiful Vona Vona Lagoon. Able to accommodate up to 5 people, the spacious bungalow has a master bedroom on the first floor. It features a queen-sized bed, mosquito netting and an ensuite with hot water. The other bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed, plus one single bed. The whole bungalow has large, screened windows. Both bedrooms have their own veranda with hammocks and comfortable island-style sitting furniture.

About Fatboys Resort

Fatboys is located on Babanga Island near Gizo. From Brisbane, it’s a three-hour flight to Honiara, then an hour’s domestic hop to Gizo and finally an eight-minute boat ride across electric-blue Pacific waters to the resort. The Babanga island is surrounded by white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and sublime diving spots and the resort highlights privacy and seclusion by offering travellers just 5 bungalows, period.

Each of the bungalows is designed keeping in mind the needs of the modern traveller and traditional architectural touches like leaf and locally-sourced hardwood floors, high-vaulted ceilings, plaited screens, etc. All bungalows are set right next to the beach and come with king-size beds comparable to five-star hotels, oversized balcony/ patios, ceiling fans, hammocks, imported furniture, ensuite bathrooms with hot water and showers, along with surreal views of ocean.
