The Savaiian Hotel

The hotel offers four categories of accommodations for travellers. For budget travellers, the Backpacker Rooms provide dormitory-style rooms with ensuite bathrooms and hot/cold showers. Then, moving up the chain are Standard Airconditioned rooms – these are spacious comfortable rooms with all basic amenities, along with a queen bed and a single bed. The quad standard AC rooms come with a queen bed and two single beds.

The Superior AC Rooms are set just 20 metres from the beach and have been recently renovated. As with all rooms, they feature ensuite bathrooms, TV, mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The Superior AC Rooms also come with a large balcony to enjoy the sublime sunrises. Finally, the Samoan-style Bungalows/ Fales have been designed in traditional ‘rounded-edge’ fashion and feature a double bed and two single beds.

The hotel has a swimming pool with great views of the ocean, besides a restaurant and a very helpful tour desk. Our recommendation for activities? Other than the fantastic swimming, snorkelling and scuba-diving typical of Samoa, travellers should check out the Taga volcanic blowholes, the wonderful Afua’au Waterfalls and try swimming with turtles.
