The Havannah, Vanuatu is a boutique luxury adults-only resort offering travellers a chance to sample the island’s fine beaches, excellent watersports and the warm island hospitality.
Set half an hour away from the airport, the resort provides decadent, top-notch villas, gourmet dining and an array of activities and experiences. There are complimentary coach transfers to the resort from the airport, or you can opt for private car transfers or an exciting helicopter ride along the coast to the resort’s beach.
The resort offers guests a choice of four categories of villas. The Garden Villas are surrounded by the resort’s landscaped flowering acres and are best for those travellers seeking total seclusion and privacy – we’re talking honeymooners here! The Lagoon Pool Villas are set near the split-level infinity edge lagoon pool with views of the lagoon or the gardens. The Waterfront Villas are set right by the beach’s edge and come with their own private plunge pools.
The Deluxe Waterfront Villas are the most luxurious options of the lot – they afford the best views of the lagoon and boast of private seven-metre private infinity-edge pools. Both the waterfront villa options come with a split-level design; the upper level features the king-size beds, closets and ensuite bathrooms while the lower level consists of the living space and the outdoor porch leading out to the beach.
Common features and amenities include king-size beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans, private gardens, complimentary WiFi, Bose iPod sound dock, daily room service, in-villa dining, tea and coffee making facilities, walk-in shower in bathroom, organic bathroom amenities, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, bathrobes along with day-beds and sun-loungers on the porch.
The Havannah is set on a white sand peninsula which leads to a natural deep-water harbour of the same name. The resort is ideally set in terms of fun and activities. A short distance away are the islands of Moso and Lelepa. The former is a hawksbill turtle marine sanctuary while the latter is a UNESCO world heritage site. Scuba-diving, snorkelling, swimming and any watersport is excellent off its shores. The coral reefs are healthy and a home to scores of tropical fishes – travellers can spend hours with a snorkel and flippers, exploring the reefs off the resort’s beach.
