Our trip to Fiji was a true blessing. We stayed at the Bayview Cove Resort in Sonaisali for 14 days and 13 nights, in a 2 bedroom villa and I’m telling you, they did not disappoint. Although it was a bit out of the way from the main road this meant we were away from all the city life chaos and cars and it was great for our family. The sunsets were unforgettable the wildlife were a site not to be missed and the staff and service were amazing! We did so many amazing activities on site! Horse Riding, Crab catching, My sisters experienced their first Kava Ceremony, We watched multiple Fire dancing and fire breathing shows, we went Swimming everyday twice a day in their beautiful pool, Danced in their on-site nightclub on the Friday and Saturday night, we went Frog and Lizard hunting pretty much every night, we went Mudfish hunting, they let my Daughter (4) feed their in office goldfish, We took a 40 min boat cruise down the river at the back of the Resort that took us out to the open ocean. We saw a fish eat a baby snake in their river, We ate incredible food and drank many of their amazing Mocktails and we were escorted down through the back of their land to take photos of the outstanding landscape. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our wants and needs. We had solid Rain for 3 days and because they weren’t completely booked out they even offered to come and collect our personal washing and dry it for us! We had food delivered to our Villa and they even asked if there was anything else they could do to help despite it bucketing down with rain outside! The office staff were exceptionally lenient, they have an in-house Boat and we had another activity planned for mid morning so they customised the duration of our boat cruise and took us on a different tour! Our Daughter wanted to go horse riding and they walked 20 mins to get the less temperamental horse so she could enjoy the experience. We all had our Henna/Mendhi done in the office by Jiya, and we were not disappointed. The designs were beautiful and original and she was really fast! Talk about talent! The restaurant turned into a nightclub on the Friday and Saturday night and the vibe was indescribable, the music was inclusive to all, they played Hindi, English, Spanish, African, Fijian, house and Reggae. This might not be a big thing but they had Female DJ’s!! DJ Ana was an amazing DJ and MC and she really pumped the crowd!! And DJ Jiya played alot of nostalgic old school English beats that made me feel at home. To the staff that endlessly catered to our wants and needs - Although work is work, you all went above and beyond for us, you were always friendly and polite, you included us in everything, anytime you saw us walking, you invited us to the daily activities and recommended great dishes in the menu. We had some good laughs and my husband was grateful for the Male company as he was living in a villa with 4 women for 14 days lol. Bayview Cove Resort - Thank you for being our home away from home, for welcoming us into your Resort, treating us like family and for the unforgettable memories and experiences.
