Reaching the resort is a singular pleasure in itself. From the Tontouta International Airport in Noumea, visitors have a choice of taking a plane from the domestic airport Magenta to the Ile des Pins Airport; or a fast catamaran ride from Noumea to Port de Kuto, a short car-hop away from Ile des Pins. Either way, the vast swathes of deep verdigris turquoise ocean broken by the dark green of the many isles is a sight to behold. The resort’s island is surrounded by palm and pine trees, lined by soft white sand. Limited to a scarce 48 super-luxurious rooms and suites, the boutique resort is one of the very few places where travellers can snorkel right off the beach. Guests have a range of accommodation choices, ranging from Superior/ Deluxe Rooms all the way to Beach View Bungalow Suites and Panoramic Bungalow Suites.
The Le Meridien Isle of Pines is minutes away from a natural saltwater swimming pool, where guests can snorkel away the days exploring the shoals of fishes inhabiting it.
