About Maitai Lapita Village Huahine

Each of the bungalows are spacious, decorated with traditional Polynesian touches like plaited and woven palm front partitions, Lapita art work and pandanus roofs. Guests can choose from Garden Bungalos, Premium Garden Bungalows and Premium Lake Bungalows. Guests have a choice of a king-size bed or two single beds in the master bedrooms, while an additional rollaway cot/ trundle bed allows an extra adult or a maximum of two adults and two children.

The Omai Restaurant and Oaoa Bar are located pleasantly close to the spacious bungalows, the former woos its guests with a fusion of Polynesian and French cuisines, the bar is a popular place to socialise with the other guests and locals over tropical cocktails.

This boutique resort is set in the Lapita village in Huahine, one of the many islands in Tahiti.

All Maitai resorts in French Polynesia are implementing sanitation best practices in accordance with the WHO, CDC as well as local health authorities and governmental guidelines. These measures include, but are not limited to:

Partnership with a medical organisation to approve all sanitary processes, support and training for hospitality team members.
Hand sanitiser stations throughout the hotels.
Maximum number of guests permissible in each public area will be indicated to provide optimal social distancing. Additionally, floor markers and signage will encourage guests to practice proper social distancing.
All resort and hotel team members will be covered with face masks.
Public areas (including lobbies, door handles, public bathrooms) and high-touch points in guest rooms will be sanitised and disinfected with increased frequency.
Transportation services will adhere to social distancing guidelines and sanitation procedures.
Card or contactless payment will be encouraged.
Guestrooms have been redesigned without decorative pillows, magazines and other non-essential items for greater peace of mind. Items that cannot be cleaned using detergents, such as upholstered furniture and mattresses, will be steam-cleaned.
The pool and frequently-used beach furniture will be disinfected frequently. Tables and chairs have been spaced throughout the restaurant/ bar areas to allow physical distancing. The restaurant furniture and menus are sanitized after each use.

After landing at Papeete, travellers have to take a 40-minute connecting domestic flight to Huahine. After landing, the resort is just a 5-minute cab ride away.
