With such a huge island at one’s disposal, any resort would put up at least 100-150 rooms, apartments, suites and villas. Not here. There are just 25 residences, each unique and highlighting the island’s remoteness and beauty. Each residence comes with a king-size bed and a luxurious ensuite and an outdoor bathroom, both with bathtubs.
When it comes to digital entertainment, the bungalow comes with its own Bluetooth home entertainment system, flatscreen TVs and a stock of free movies. For al fresco dining evenings, each residence comes with an outdoor dining hut and loungers. Common amenities include air-conditioning, a fully stocked bar, light bites, an electronic safe, high-speed WiFi and a private golf buggy or two for trundling around the island. Oh, and each residence also rates a private butler, too.
Outside the bungalow, there is a sundeck, daybeds, sun loungers and a private swimming pool with a view. But these are what’s common to all residences – check out room descriptions below for more details and pictures.
All holiday packages at this Fijian luxury private island resort are all-inclusive. The COMO Laucala also indulges its guests with a wide variety of dining venues. The food menu is a blend of home-grown and locally-sourced produce and meats, as well as international supplies for rare vintages and single malts for its bar menu. Needless to say, the culinary team is adept at handling any and all dietary restrictions and preferences.
The guests can choose to dine at the COMO Laucala’s Plantation House, which specialises in fine dining with New World cuisines, a great selection of vintages and fine wines. Then, the Seagrass Lounge and Restaurant offers pan-Asian dishes and a treetop setting over the beach. For fun times, head over to the Beach Bar – resembling a blooming flower, the architecture alone is a breathtakingly amazing sight. And speaking of, the Rock Lounge is set atop the island’s rocky outcrop and boasts of singularly awesome visuals of the Seagrass Bay. There’s also the Pool Bar, for when you want quick bites along with your drink of choice. And finally, you can always order in and take advantage of the covered gazebo!
