The Tui Tai re-fit team
has completed a 13 week vessel renovation, and the premier expedition
vessel in the South Pacific is now back to cruising & exploring the
remote islands of Northern Fiji.
The extensive re-fit, code-named
“Project Coopers,” included development of new cabins and staterooms,
ensuite facilities, noise reduction systems, ocean stability system,
environmental impact improvements, an onboard spa and more. A brief list

This is a unique holiday aboard a 140ft ship with a maximum of only 24 guests. It is designed for active travellers looking to get off the beaten path & truly experience Fiji, not just a resort's view of Fiji. The expedition combines tropical adventure & a chance to immerse you in the culture of Fiji. During your adventure you will kayak, mountain bike, hike through rainforests & waterfalls, snorkel pristine, vibrant reefs, scuba dive in a number of world-class dive sites, visit local villages, & more!
The A/S Tui Tai is a magnificent 140-foot sailing schooner based in Savusavu, Fiji. In the Fijian language, “Tui Tai” means “chief from another place.” The small group focus of the Adventure Cruise means that guests are welcomed with the warmth and respect traditionally given to a chief from another village. In a sense, each guest is a “Tui Tai,” and we are honoured by their visit to our floating village.
A large aft deck provides ample space for lounging while we sail along, as well as a dining table for all meals. A shade cloth covers the deck. The lounge area inside includes table seating areas and a full bar operated by our hostess. Upstairs is our massage parlor where you can enjoy a massage after an active day. Guests are invited to tour the bridge area upstairs and watch the Captain and officers navigate the ship.
Adventure Gear: The ship is equipped with Perception kayaks, Kona mountain bikes, Scubapro dive & snorkel gear, and compressor.
Staff of 16 Fijian officers, sailors, guides and hospitality staff ensure the safety and enjoyment of each guest. Each member of our staff is proud to share their islands with you and provide interpretive guiding and evening storytelling about the history and legends of Fiji.
All cabins and staterooms on board the Tui Tai are air-conditioned for your comfort with private bathroom and showers and the best shampoos & soaps, as well as 800-count Egyptian Cotton Sateen sheets. Towel and linen service is provided daily.
GRAND STATEROOMS (2)
Relax in a spacious and luxurious stateroom, with its own living room and doors that open out onto the bridge deck. The Grand Staterooms offer complete privacy with its own bathroom, air conditioning, and queen-size bed. Large windows and floor to ceiling glass windows offer exquisite views. They also feature a personal entertainment system, flat screen LCD/TV, DVD/CD player & Sony Playstation.
STATEROOMS (2)
Relax in a beautiful stateroom made from local hardwoods and traditional furnishings. The Stateroom offers complete privacy with its own bathroom, air conditioning, and queen-size bed. Floor to ceiling glass windows offer premium views. These rooms also feature a personal entertainment system, flat screen LCD/TV, DVD/CD player & Sony Playstation.
EXPEDITION CABINS (8)
Each Expedition Cabin offers a double bed that sleeps two, adjustable air-conditioning and private facilities ensuite. Expedition Cabins all have a Pullman (pull down) bunk for twin sharing or a third guest. Observation window and door window offer views of the sea.
