After getting out of the airport, guests are taken to the Vuda marina from where a speedboat jets them across the crystal-clear seas to the Navini island. The resort has only 10 beachfront bures in its inventory, thus ensuring privacy and peace for its guests. Also, day-trippers are not allowed! Travellers can choose from four categories of bungalows, ranging from Premier Bures, Deluxe Premier Bures, Two-Room Bures and Family Bures. All bures come with a choice of king- or queen-size beds, along with single beds. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious and feature complimentary toiletries. The bures are all air-cooled as the island is awash with cool ocean breezes; they also feature open-plan living space, spacious decks and outdoor furniture to enjoy serene island mornings and evenings.

The resort is perfectly capable of unloading a host of fantastic activities and experiences on its guests – day in and day out. Its reefs are particularly alive with marine life, snorkellers will come by chromis, anemonefish, bluefins, ribbontail rays, manta rays and more on an everyday basis. There are also manta rays, eagle rays and shy turtles which frequent the Navini’s reefs.

One of the reasons why there are so many repeat travellers to Navini is because of its varied list of complimentary activities. The resort’s boat might take travellers out to Cloud Break to swim with dolphins one day, then take them to the island’s school and introduce them to the children and the staff. The scuba-diving is pretty off the charts too – it’s in the Mamanuca islands after all. There are two dive-operators nearby who take travellers on wall-dives, cave-dives, wreck exploration, reef and pinnacle dives. There is a schedule of things, but what’s the point of a holiday if there’s no spontaneity?
