General InformationApproximately 3,700 kilometres south-southwest of Honolulu and to the east of Western Samoa, American Samoa has six inhabited islands. The main island is Tutuila. It is thought the first Samoan inhabitants settled in the Manu'a Islands in about 1,300 BC.
Hawaiian Airlines operates direct flights from Honolulu, with connections from the West Coast, North America. Other airlines servicing American Samoa include Polynesian Airlines with services from Apia in Western Samoa and connections on Polynesian Blue, Air Pacific and Air New Zealand from Australia and New Zealand.
