The Special
Wedding Package:
US$450
This special package includes the following:
CIVIL CEREMONY: Wedding applications must be submitted to the
government at least 14 days prior to the wedding. If either party has
been previously married, divorce papers must be submitted with the
wedding application. The application must include photographs and a
photocopy of passports. The actual wedding ceremony may be performed
either by a celebrant or the local Methodist Reverend, and must be
scheduled at least 14 days in advance of the proposed date for the
ceremony. Please note that there are restricted days, when weddings are
not permitted in Samoa. All coordination, application fees and fees for
the celebrant or Reverend are included.
DECORATED VENUE: The wedding will be held at a location of your choice
on or near the beach at COCONUTS, under a floral arch. The traditional
Samoan palm-frond and flower decorations will complement this beautiful
natural setting.
FLOWERS: A bouquet of exotic island flowers and a pale (head wreath)
will be provided for the bride and a Samoan ula (lei) for the groom.
WITNESSES: If you do not have family or special friends traveling with
you, the “COCONUTS family” would love to attend the wedding ceremony!

The Grand
Wedding Experience:
US$950
This slightly more extravagant
but still intimate package includes all of the Special Wedding features,
as well a professional photographer (album with 64 photos including 4
enlargements, DVD and negatives). During the ceremony you will enjoy a
serenade by the Coconuts Beach Club traditional Samoan string band,
followed by a wedding cake to celebrate the occasion. Later, sit down
to a romantic dinner for two, in a special secluded location if you
prefer, complete with a bottle of champagne.
The Pampered
Experience: US$1450
Treat yourself well before the big occasion with full, his and hers
treatments at the new Coco Beach Spa. Relax your mind and body with his
and hers Relaxation Massages and Facials, After the ceremony, which
includes all of the Special Wedding package as well as a professional
photographer (album with 64 photos including 4 enlargements, DVD and
negatives), enjoy a secluded and romantic dinner for two in our
open-air, second storey Observation Tower, with a bottle of champagne
and a private serenade by the Coconuts String Band.

The Samoan Experience: US$1950
Immerse yourself in the fa’asamoa, the true Samoan culture, in
one of the most unique ways to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime day.
You will each be adopted into a separate Samoan family for the day – in
our own village of Maninoa – and treated as would one of their own
relatives. The bride will be dressed in a traditional ie toga, a
dress made from a handwoven fine mat (yours to keep), and adorned with a
flower pale (head wreath). The groom will have his own
lavalava sewn for him, accompanied by a shell ula (lei). The
traditional Samoan wedding begins with the blowing of conch shells, and
a procession by the bride and her family to the site of the wedding,
singing Samoan songs. After brief speeches by the Tulafale, or
talking chiefs representing each family, the Coconuts String Band plays
softly in the background while the village Reverend performs the vows.
After the ceremony, a Samoan-style reception follows in the village,
with the exchange of traditional gifts between the families, a fiafia
(performance of Samoan song and dance), dinner, a cake and a bottle
of champagne for you and your new spouse. This is an absolutely unique,
once-in-a-lifetime experience, plunging you into the heart of the true
Polynesian culture of Samoa. To record this exceptional event, the
Samoan Experience includes a photographer (album with 64 photos
including 4 enlargements, DVD and negatives) and a videographer
(professionally filmed and edited video tape with musical accompaniment
of entire ceremony). |
Over The Water
Wedding: US$2650
This special wedding experience is only available at Coconuts Beach Club
because in all of Samoa, only Coconuts has Over The Water Fales!
Indulge yourself entirely with a five night stay in one of our exclusive
Over The Water Fales, with panoramic views of the turquoise lagoon and a
window in your sitting room floor to view the sea life beneath you. On
your special day, we will set up a floral archway on the large deck of
your fale, where you will be joined by your choice of the Reverend from
our village church or a government celebrant. After your ceremony,
while the photographer (includes album with 64 photos including 4
enlargements, DVD and negatives) creates some memorable shots with you
on the beach nearby, we will transform the deck of your Over The Water
Fale into your own private, and very romantic, dinner setting. Enjoy
one of Mika’s renowned creations and a bottle of champagne while being
serenaded by the Coconuts traditional Samoan string band.
Package includes five nights accommodation, additional nights

Special Notes:
• Religious Ceremony: If you prefer, it is possible to be
married in a church in Samoa. The church in our village is Methodist,
and weddings can easily be arranged there. The approximate additional
cost of a religious ceremony in our Methodist church is
US$100.
Although there is a Catholic Church in the nearby village of Mulivai, it
is important to note that Catholic Weddings are not permitted if either
person has been previously married. Arrangements for a Catholic Wedding
may require special permission from the Cardinal’s office in Apia.
• Minimum stay: There is a 5 night minimum stay required for
Wedding Packages. |
