A new yacht base has on Vava’u in the ancient kingdom of Tonga, a chain of islands spanning more than 200 miles in the South Pacific. There has never been a better time to cruise this aquatic wonderland, which has near-perfect sailing weather all year round with the best conditions from May to November.
It is very un-spoilt with turquoise-blue lagoons, fine white coral sand beaches and dramatic deep water drop-offs filled with giant fern forests and amazing marine life. The new base at Neiafu is the capital of Vava’u and the starting point for exploring the archipelago of fifty lush, verdant islands.
You fly into Fuamoto airport on Tongatapu before connecting with a short flight to Lupepa'u airport on Vava'u. The airport is just 10 minutes from the Yacht base. There are four different Oceanis mono-hulls to choose from as well as a catamaran – all only three years old.
The yachts can be chartered bare for those with sailing experience or with a skipper, who can be hired for a day or the whole trip depending on the assistance required. Food provisioning can also be provided, and cleaners and cooks are available by the day.
The cruising is outstanding with an endless number of beautiful lagoons and caves to explore.
Tonga offers year round sailing with best conditions May – November. Temperatures range from 18°C to 32°C with winds of 13 to 18 knots between April and October.

Provisioning:
We offer a provisioning service for food and beverages. Orders should be made no later than 4 weeks before departure. Payment is made at the base on arrival.
This service saves you money in taxi fares and time in hunting for goods. You will be required to select the items of your choice and they will be on board for you when you arrive. A handling fee of 20% is added to the cost. You may, if you wish, do their own provisioning, however this is normally a frustrating, hot and tiring job for the uninitiated which wastes precious charter time.
Bottled water is recommended in Tonga as, although the tap water is pure, it contains a lot of lime. The base has its own fresh water supply.
Packaged provisioning is also available.

This vessel is equipped with a dive compressor, BCD jackets, regulators, tanks & weights. The yacht is based at Tongatapu, however depending on how long you want to cruise, your charter can also include the islands of Haapai. During the winter months from July to October you can watch whales between the Haapai Group & Eua Island.
