The Sandy Beach Resort is a first class resort, under German management. The resort opened in May 1995, it is situated on the most beautiful secluded beach which allows swimming and other watersport activities at all times. It is located on Foa Island in the unspoilt heart of Tonga - the Ha'apai Group, 10 kms north of Lifuka Island Airport with access by car. The nearest Tongan village, where the traditional lifestyle is still alive, is 2 kms away. There are 12 bungalows with their own balconies directly on the beach. They feature luxury tiled rooms with accommodation 2 people; spacious tiled bathrooms with hot shower, refrigerator, tea/coffee facilities and electric fan. The restaurant serves first class cuisine, specialising in lobster and fresh local fish.
FREE ACTIVITIES: snorkel equipment, bicycles, traditional Tongan feast, culture shows, Kava Ceremony, and Polynesian outrigger canoes.
 Optional activities at extra cost can be arranged and include: horse riding, game fishing, scuba diving, daytrips to outer islands by boat, sailing trips.
