Kilauea Lighthouse, Kauai
Perched on a scenic peninsula 200 feet above the sea on
Kauai’s north coast, this 52-foot maritime beacon was built
in 1913 and today remains one of the Islands most-visited
sites. It is located on the grounds of the Kilauea Point
National Wildlife Refuge, a sanctuary for seabirds,
including frigates, shearwaters, and Laysan albatrosses that
nest on the property. |
